=========================================================================== Review : Terminator! YES! =========================================================================== Primary purpose : No levels included =========================================================================== Title : T1000 LOOK A LIKES FOR DOOM 3D (PWAD-version) Filename : t1000.wad Note by the uploader : This add-on was originally created with DooM v. 1.2 and intended to be installed with DMGRAPH and DMAUD. To make it playable with v. 1.9 of both, DooM and DooM2 (without harming the IWAD) and also modern source-ports, it has been converted to the PWAD-format by the uploader. Release date : 08/07/94 MM/DD/YY (Timestamp of the latest files in the original package, that was called T1000.ZIP) Author : Paul Healey Email Address : - Misc. Author Info : If you don't think this graphic replacment is very good then you can blame that down to my age (I am only 15). I only did it because I had some spare time on my summer holidays. Any way hope you like it. Paul Healey. Description : The file replaces the pink demons with a T1000 look a like. It's not exactly like the T1000 in the T2 movie, but it's were the original idea came from. The graphics patch has the same upper body of the T1000 (Silver head, chest, arms etc..) His legs have been replaced with red extended arms. He attacks you by making a huge (I mean HUGE!!) spike come out off his stomach and hitting you. I have also put some sounds in too. I didn't change all the old demon sounds because I thought it was best to leave these. If you disagree add your own sounds. Additional Credits to : Tom Briggs. He and I came up with the original idea. Also he helped me use 3d Studio. (He let me test it on his machine too.) James Healey (my LITTLE brother) Just because he was there to annoy me and Tom while we got on with it. Also he helped me make some of the sound effects. =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : None Sounds : Yes Music : No Graphics : Yes Dehacked/BEX Patch : No Demos : No Other : No Other files required : DEUSF (only, if you use plain vanilla DooM). Run it like this: deusf -append t1000.wad Users of advanced source ports don't need DEUSF. * Play Information * Game : DOOM / DOOM2 / Final DooM Map # : Any map, that has pink demons. * Construction * Base : 50PMAN.3DS Editor(s) used : I created the graphics replacement in 3d Studio (actually I took the 50PMAN.3DS file amd took of his legs, hands and feet.) After it had all been rendered in 3d Studio I took the files into Neopaint and touched them up. (I got them to the right screen size. At one point they were so big their heads went through the ceilings on most of the levels. Also I got rid of some very annoying blue and green dots that appeared around the figures.) * Copyright / Permissions * This patch is freeware, if you do distribute this graphic replacement, please keep the text file T1000.TXT (stored within origdoc.zip in ths pwad-release) with it. * Where to get the file that this text file describes * The mirrors of the /idgames -ftp-archives: ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/pc/msdos/games/idgames/ http://public.ftp.planetmirror.com/pub/idgames/ http://www.gamers.org/pub/idgames/ ftp://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/vendors/idgames/ http://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/vendors/idgames/ ftp://ftp.chg.ru/pub/games/idgames/ http://ftp.chg.ru/pub/games/idgames/ ftp://ftp.mancubus.net/pub/idgames/ http://ftp.mancubus.net/pub/idgames/ http://youfailit.net/pub/idgames/ http://ftp.fdn.fr/games/idgames/ ftp://ftp.clinet.fi/pub/mirrors/archives.3dgamers.com/idgames/ ftp://ftp.task.gda.pl/pub/games/idgames/ ftp://ftp.netc.pt/pub/idgames/ http://ftp.netc.pt/pub/idgames/ http://crydee.sai.msu.ru/ftproot/pub/rec/games/idgames/ The upload-server of the /idgames-archives is: ftp://archives.3dgamers.com/pub/idgames/ But please use the above listed mirrors for your downloads. =========================================================================== Submitted to the /idgames-ftp-archives by FunDuke --> funduke@hotmail.com The review at the beginning of this template has been written by FunDuke.
