-* Snaker ver. 1.0 *-- Copyright (C) Erik Persson 1993 Description: Yet another implementation of the classical snaker game. The object of this game is simply to stay alive as long as possible. You control a constantly moving snake with the arrow keys. In short you loose strength by moving around and increase it by eating things. There are two eatable objects in the game, apples and pears. After eating a certain amount of apples a door is opened to the next level. Eating a pear results in totally restored strength plus a bonus of 800p. You die if you have no strength left or if you go into a wall, a closed door or into yourself. There is never more than one apple out at the same time, but as soon as you eat one a new apple is randomly placed out somewhere on the map. When the door to the next level is opened no more apples are placed out. The game is written for mode-X (320x240x256). System requirements: You've gotta have a 80286 or better and a VGA-card. Problems: Running Snaker under Windows may result in hang-ups and other curious errors, so it is adviced that you run it directly under DOS. If you get problems with the palette fades or horizontal scrolling, try to change the setup (press F10 at the main menu). If this doesn't help i would appreciate if you'd send me a (detailed) description of your problem. You can send it to: E-mail: over-epe@dront.nada.kth.se or Or (if that bounces) by snail mail to: Erik Persson H„gerstensv„gen 318 129 41 H„gersten SWEDEN
